What Is Keto?

The Keto diet, really known  as the Ketogenic Diet,is where you eat a higher fat content, moderate protein and reduce your carbs significantly. You see your body can live on two different fuel source.

  1. Your body can use and store sugar (glucose), where you eat any carbohydrate and the body will secrete insulin to store as energy. This has been our way of eating for years.
  2.  You body can use keystones which are produced when the body has no more sugars to use as fuel and then has to tap into your fat stores and convert the fat into Keytones for fuel.

Here is one of the best videos I have found on this.  I do not agree with the author on the studies about the ketogenic diet. I know there has been plenty of research and research is continuing on.
