Calamari, when rubbed with the right amount of spices and then grilled, tastes as good as the fried version This recipe for low carb keto friendly grilled calamari with aioli sauce is quick and these days our go to meals when we don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen .

Ingredients for grilled calamari:

700 gms calamari (this should be good for 2 adults, unless otherwise;))
30 ml olive oil
3 tsp fresh lemon juice
salt to taste
1/3 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp garam masala (optional)
pinch of nutmeg powder
3 tsp ginger garlic paste (I always grate fresh)

Ingredients for aioli sauce:

1 large egg at room temperature
4 flakes of garlic – finely chopped
15 ml of olive oil – for roasting garlic
1 tsp dejon mustard at room temperature
1 tsp apple cider vinegar at room temperature
2 tsp fresh lemon juice at room temperature
salt to taste
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
180 ml light olive oil (or avocado oil if you prefer)
