30 ml olive oil
350 gms Haloumi Cheese cut into bite sized pieces
Half medium sized red onion – cut into bite sized pieces
Half green capsicum – cut into bite sized pieces
3 Asian green chillies
10 ml dark soy sauce
10 ml vinegar
salt to taste
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
Hot sauces – I used 20 ml of hot caribbean sauce and 20 ml of jalapeno hot sauce. You can use whatever you please 🙂
20 ml sugarfree ketchup
Handful of chopped scallions.
Heat oil in a pan.
Once the oil is hot enough, gently place the haloumi and pan grill it on medium heat until its golden brown (roughly 3-4 mins each side).
Once the haloumi is golden brown, take it out from the pan.
In the same pan, add onion capsicum and green chillies. Saute for just 2 mins.
Add salt and black pepper, mix well.
Add all sauces (soy sauce, vinegars, hot sauces and ketchup) and make sure you mix after throwing each sauce.
Finally add the golden brown pieces of haloumi to the veggie mix and cook for another 2 mins.
Add the chopped scallions and you are all set 🙂
