Ingredients for the batter:
100 gms unflavoured whey protein isolate powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp carrom seeds
3/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/3 tsp xanthan gum
3-4 cloves of garlic
20 gms ginger
3-4 green chillies (more or less depending on your taste buds)
2 large eggs
40-50 ml water
Oil for deep frying
Veggies you can use:
1 medium sized cauliflower cut into small bite sized pieces should go well with this amount of batter.
Alternatively you can use zucchini, onion, fenugreek or any other veggies of your choice
Ingredients for the dip:
1 bunch of fresh mint leaves alternatively you can use half mint and half coriander, you know what you like)
Salt to taste
2 cloves of garlic
Just enough water to make it form a smooth dip.
Method for batter:
Mix whey, salt, carrom seeds, turmeric powder, cayenne pepper, baking powder, baking soda and xanthan gum in a bowl and keep aside
Blend ginger, garlic and green chilli with just enough water so that it forms a nice and smooth paste.
Add ginger garlic and green chilli paste to the whey mix, add 2 large eggs and 40-50 ml of water and whisk the mixture vigorously for a minute or 2, until its nice and smooth.
Dip veggies in the batter and deep fry them on medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
Method for the dip:
Blend everything until it forms a nice and smooth dip. All set:)
